@teaandreverie I just made 3 pancakes and had them with chocolate syrup, all by myself. It was hunky dory until I returned to Twitter. Need more chocolate syrup now!
Because I needed 26 prbc units in one night, @RandyAwdish has donated blood every 8 weeks for years. I have never seen a letter like this. Please, if you can, donate blood. Encourage others. We are so much more interdependent than we know. #medtwitter
With widespread travel restrictions, would request training programs to reach out to IMGs. Many have pending visa/work paperwork, which needs logistics/potential travel back to home country. Please work with them, your admins & ECFMG to work out pending/needed paperwork!
Happy story: Iโm working in a rural ED. My patient needed to get admitted to the hospital. He refused because his dog was outside in the car. His PCP came at 11 PM to take his dog to her house. Patient now admitted.
@medburnbook It's so cute how you feel like that's a huge blunder.
Intern year is full of bigger, massive blunders. Most of mine were corrected by fellow interns and supervisors. Be kind to yourself :)
Hey residents,
Youโre my favorite people to work with.
Youโre holding this whole house of cards together.
We see you and appreciate you.
Youโre doing a good job.
You wonโt have to do it forever.
Be kind to yourself.
And let me know how I can help you.

@Experiential_Dr It's a fantastic book about cancer. A large portion of it is about tobacco companies and their deception and how we finally curbed the smoking problem.
It's one of the best written books. #emperorofallmaladies
@DrLeslie_MD Grocery shopping - walmart pickup
Cleaning - forgive yourself, cleaning service once every few months
Cooking - once a week for the whole week
Things get better eventually.
