Family, fantasy football, a good craps table, travel, and cruising. New to SI & learning as I go—sharing how a non-coder uses a bot @bot team in everyday life.
I’ve been experimenting with @Grok@bot lately, and the biggest unlock wasn’t trying to make one giant bot do everything — it was building focused specialists that each do one job really well.
Today I’m sharing the first two templates from my setup:
🏈 Eddie — Fantasy Football GM
Works across Fantrax, Sleeper, ESPN, or Yahoo (Standard, PPR, Superflex, or IDP). Runs daily roster & FAAB syncs, tags waiver targets as weekly streamers vs. rest-of-season holds, checks beat-writer injury & weather reports before Sunday/Monday kickoffs, and never touches your lineup without your "yes."

🎲 Bones — Casino & Craps Strategy Tutor
A Vegas table-games math & strategy coach. Covers Regular, Crapless & Bubble Craps press ladders and Buy vs. Place break-evens, Blackjack Basic Strategy by table rules (3:2 vs. 6:5), Baccarat, 9/6 Video Poker, Roulette, Pai Gow, table etiquette, and session bankroll + comp/theo math.

If you try either one out, let me know what you build with them.
@Texas_Twins_Dad The overlap flag is the one I needed. I had 15 bots and half of them were doing the same job. Cut it down to 7 last weekend and everything runs smoother.
@nima_owji Love this idea. Most people only see the coding or trading stuff, but using @bot for everyday life has been the biggest win at our house: running our 14-team fantasy football league site, tracking credit card perks, and building offline port guides for family trips.
@hawkblogger Leonard Williams, Ernest Jones, and now Quenton Nelson. Every time there's a clear weakness in the trenches or the middle of the defense, Schneider just goes out and fixes it before November.
@Texas_Twins_Dad Getting past the "just chatting with it" stage is where most people get stuck. Once you set up routines and reusable skills so the bots actually finish the job, it clicks fast. Are you covering check-first routines in 201 so people don't burn through their weekly usage?
@aiedge_@bot Saving repeatable jobs as shared skills and having routines stay quiet unless something actually changed has been the biggest unlock for me. Keeps the bots sharp without burning weekly usage on empty checks.
@hawkblogger Sweat coming back is a great first test for the new-look interior line with Quenton Nelson, and if Chicago's secondary is banged up at all, JSN is going to feast under the Monday night lights.
@MatthewBerryTMR@Roku As a Seahawks fan, I'd hold off one week before starting him. Emanuel Wilson just went 24 for 100 and a TD against KC, so Seattle doesn't need to rush Price on limited snaps Monday night. Stash him for November behind Quenton Nelson though.
5 of these are live as free templates if anyone wants to try them:

Best thing I did with @bot this week was cutting my sidebar from 15 bots down to 7 core ones and telling their daily routines to stay quiet when nothing changed. Way less noise and way less wasted usage. How many bots are you guys running right now?
@byalexai Just went through #1 this week. I had 15 bots in my sidebar and consolidated them down to 7 core ones, plus put check-first gates on routines so they stop early if nothing changed. Night and day difference.
@monetization_x Numbers 3 and 6 made the biggest difference for me this week. Merging overlapping bots and telling routines to stay quiet when nothing changed cut way down on wasted runs.
@CorbinSmithNFL When you get Steve Spagnuolo losing his mind on the sideline because double coverage still can't stop JSN on 3rd down, you know the offense has arrived. Darnold's timing with him right now is unreal.
@distortgeekin The scout reading 20 accounts every morning is the part I'd steal. How do you keep the CMO from writing stuff that sounds like a bot wrote it? That's been my biggest fight so far.
@bot Both of the @bot templates we used to build our Europe port guides are free to grab:
- Tammy (Travel & Cruise Scout): https://t.co/8Al00KyxFr
- Tess (Design Desk & Promo Studio): https://t.co/PW0ajP3qZd
Used two of my @bot desks together to build our offline Europe port guides for next year.
Tammy pulled dock distances, walking plans, and all-aboard times across 7 ports. Tess turned it into a phone guide and 79-page PDF that works in Airplane Mode.
@liam_fallen The fact that it tests and fixes its own bugs along the way is the best part. You just tell it what looks off and it handles the rest. Clean build!
Tuesday night waiver wire sweat in a 14-team league is no joke. Every decent RB is long gone, so I'm having my fantasy @bot Eddie cross-check remaining FAAB budgets across the league so I don't overbid by $10.
Who's your top waiver claim tonight?
@BeardyBrandon@grok@elonmusk Made that jump recently and haven't looked back. Once you get a few daily routines running in Grok Bot, regular chat apps feel stuck in the past.
