Mary Peltola is going to win. And you can thank Lisa Murkowski.
I mean, you have three Republicans versus one democrat and one of them is clearly there under false pretenses and with the soul intention of deceiving voters into thinking he’s someone else.
NEWS: Three Democrats and one Republican ended up withdrawing from the Alaska U.S. House race, so here's the final ballot.
Nick Begich (Republican)
Bill Hill (Nonpartisan)
Eric Hafner (Democrat)
James C. McDermott (Libertarian)
“If Tom Begich didn't drop out, the Alaska Gov race would've been Lean R and uphill for Dems”
RCV is supposed to fix these types of problems, but the fact that candidates dropping out is causing such drastic swings means it’s clearly not working.
Going to be completely honest, RCV has no real purpose in Alaska if candidates can just... drop out.
Either have normal primaries or prevent them from dropping. What's even the purpose of four candidates advancing if they just call it quits? JUST HAVE A NORMAL ELECTION.
