Gerrymandering affects all Americans, but some of its most significant costs are borne by communities of color. Our expert explains the how and why of it all: https://t.co/vhPadpcYrw
Everyone’s stopped talking about it for some reason, but the defense of Minneapolis was the most seismic victory against Trumpism. That was supposed to be the blueprint for their autocracy and it was defeated and humiliated by astounding collective action from ordinary Americans.
Roberts's challenge isn't that Americans misunderstand the Supreme Court; it's that a growing number of them understand it all too well. https://t.co/Gv9sHvrb5d
SOUTH CAROLINA — @RepJamesClyburn: “Why is it when you have a 75% white district that’s not racial, but you have a 45% Black district that is racial? There’s no way the numbers bear this out… I never thought I’d see the day the Supreme Court would be so openly partisan.”
Justice Sotomayor nails it: “The Court today unceremoniously discards District Court’s meticulously documented and supported discriminatory-intent finding & careful remedial order without any sound basis for doing so and without regard for the confusion that will surely ensue.”
There are Black folks in the Louisiana capital right now that grew up under segregation and are now seeing 60 years of racial progress wiped out by American fascists.
The Voting Rights Act was built on an assumption by its authors (primarily Abe Fortas and Nicholas Katzenbach) that the South would only act in racist ways if allowed to and so had to be stopped from doing so at all times forever, and holy shit was that assumption dead on. -OS
Justice Alito relied on misleading data to support his claim that “Black voters now participate in elections at similar rates as the rest of the electorate."
Using the DOJ’s data, Alito omitted the fact that the racial voter gap is actually widening. https://t.co/8q1c9MSwjb
WOW "SCOTUS USED FAKE DATA AND THE MEDIA WENT CRICKETS." I don't know why more people aren't talking about this. Republicans are trying to bury it as fast as they can.
Sam Alito didn't just gut the Voting Rights Act. He built the opinion on fake data from Trump's DOJ.
The lie? Black voter turnout beat white turnout in 2 of 5 recent presidential elections in Louisiana. The media? Silent. Go figure.
Confirmed sources caught it: Alito used a rigged formula counting non-citizens and felons as "eligible voters" to juice the numbers. Real data? Black turnout only exceeded white in one election: 2012.
Expert Michael McDonald: "They had to fudge how they're calculating the turnout rate... Someone knew what they were doing."
Who else signed their name to a Supreme Court opinion built on cooked books? All six conservatives: Roberts, Thomas, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, Barrett. Not one fact-check. Not one care.
They didn't interpret law—they fabricated facts to kill a civil rights law Black people bled for. And the media barely blinked. A Supreme Court justice using fake data to destroy voting rights should be an all-timer scandal. But it's 2026, so it's just Thursday.
THE GOP IS THE BIGGEST PONZI SCAM IN HISTORY.
Y'all wanted a colorblind society? Start by being blind to the lies your side tells.
They call them “data centers” because calling them “mass surveillance centers” would cause a national uprising.
The government and Big Tech don’t build billion-dollar facilities in the middle of nowhere just to store your family photos.
They are building the infrastructure for a surveillance state— one capable of monitoring your speech, mapping your behavior, tracking your movements, analyzing your purchases, harvesting your biometrics, and building a real-time digital profile of your entire life.
And they package it all under buzzwords like “AI,” “security,” and “innovation” so the public blindly applauds the expansion of the very system being built to monitor them.
WAKE UP BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.
MS NOW confirms an absolute meltdown. FBI Director Kash Patel is in a total panic mode, desperately ordering polygraphs for over two dozen staff members.
The Trump administration is terrified of leakers exposing their massive internal dysfunction.
His leadership is collapsing.
