If we lose the midterm elections, it will be an act of self-destruction by too many of our fellow citizens who will have chosen tyranny over liberty -- yes, the Democrat Party is a tyrannical political movement.  And party leaders and candidates have made clear to the electorate their intentions to dismantle our constitution, economic system, and sovereignty (borders).  To vote for this, or to not vote at all, is an act of self-destruction.

We, the people, need to take at least some responsibility for our nation's future.  That's why we have the vote.  The consent of the governed.  Representative government.  Commentators can make excuses about gas prices or the mindset of young people, etc.   But in the end, this is small potatoes when the Republic is at stake.  I intend to elaborate on this in the days ahead, but we have the power to live free or not -- at least for now -- and control our destiny.

By the way, the irony is that gas prices will inevitably skyrocket under the Democrats, as will virtually all costs did in the recent past when they controlled the government.  That's what their ideology and policies compel.

New York Times reporter Jonathan Swan just got a stunning reality check from both Bill Maher and author James Kirchick.

Swan was spiraling over President Trump barring CNN and MS NOW from the White House, until Kirchick reminded him of some of the Obama-era media scandals.

KIRCHICK: “During the Obama administration they tapped the AP bureau’s phones and the phones of AP bureau reporters. They tapped their phones!”

Maher backed up some of the claims and seconded Kirchick’s point about the Obama administration.

MAHER: “I looked this up about freezing out one…they did it with Fox News. Josh Earnest, he was in the Obama administration. He admitted it.”

“The White House has demonstrated our willingness to exclude Fox News from news making interviews…”

“This is exactly what…you know, this is what I say about this country. Everybody’s like this is the worst thing in the world except when we do it.”

“And then it’s always perfectly okay.”

Maher nailed the hypocrisy in one sentence.

Turns out Sunny Hostin lied about her hold out juror story. Contemporaneous reporting in 1991 shows it was a homeless man who was the holdout because he wanted $15 a day pay to sit on the jury.

2026 Sunny: "I was the holdout juror."

1991 Daily News: the holdout juror was "an unemployed man."

1991 Sunny: "He knew what he was doing."

Sunny, pick a side. Also, how does a homeless man get picked for a jury?
