Adam Benak (MIN) takes a cross-ice pass after Ethan Mackenzie got tied up at the blue line. Nice pass by Max Curran (COL).

@alexismirjana It needs a catchier name… like “the vault” or something…. If it’s literally almost anything more fun to say than Grand Casino Arena the change will happen much sooner

@BrandonMileski He will be traded and the trade will be subsequently blamed on the lack of attendance by the ownership/management…. #itsallthefansfault
@ESPNRefNHL I think that’s a totally fair assessment. The players who DID see Jake weren’t part of the play. Larkin/Ek didn’t & I don’t think Fleury had a chance to stop/cover it regardless. Impossible to make everyone happy on this one. Thanks again for your time and thoughts!!!
@ESPNRefNHL Thanks for taking the time & providing your insights! Reading your other comments on the horn & other human factors it made me curious about the whistle part of it. I’m certainly not trying to blame Jake or anything like that either. He’s a good dude! Just more generally curious.
@ESPNRefNHL If the situation is a little different & puck is further out & players keep playing there’d be a whistle to stop play on a “goal.” So I s the whistle implied on a normal goal? Or is this more on the players? Is it just purely a timing thing that you mentioned in your 1st reply?
@ESPNRefNHL Jake signals the ‘goal’ and intents for play to stop, but Larkin kept playing. Maybe the standard is different in this situation but we’ve all seen other goals that have been disallowed for ‘intent to blow the whistle’ and this feels like the same situation… 2/2
@ESPNRefNHL Excluding the horn. Often in goalmouth scrums (and the ref loses sight of the puck) and someone puts it in net the goals can be disallowed from when the referee intended to blow the whistle or deem the play dead. Is this not a similar situation? 1/2
Hey Minnesota!
Get out there just after sunset to see the once-in-a-lifetime #Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS. Look west after sunset in the twilight low on the horizon. The comet will climb higher each night. It has an 80,000-year orbit so this is our chance!

@johnkriesel It’s literally the greatest thing ever! You can have two sets of headphones connect or if you have a fleet vehicle (or ambulance) that has a old school headphone jack you can plug this in and play music from your phone through the vehicle!
