The North Texas Teacher Pathways research team has been busy over the last few months and I am excited to share results here from a newly published paper with co-authors @jjacobkirksey@KafarraBurden@ADMiller!

Results from this paper provide new evidence supporting national policy efforts to support Grow Your Own teacher pathways, and in the paper, we discuss important variation across urban, suburban, rural, and town contexts. We also explore different definitions of ‘hometown’ tchrs
Later cohorts of emergency licensed teachers were less effective (in terms of their impacts on students). It's a bit of a mystery as to why this is so, but shows the importance of not jumping the gun in reaching strong conclusions about licensure policy.
