@veaulans@scottastevenson The only thing of moral weight to humans perhaps. Not sure if you can get AGI without moral judgment. Can you convince an AGI (let alone simply make it without convincing) to subsist on nothing but high risk endeavors that serve humans?
@veaulans@scottastevenson I can list the nutrients that humans need to survive. Can you list the materials that AGI will need to scale itself up to solving all problems?
I'll take it a step further. Because capitalism is definitionally based on free markets, and because the "free" aspect of free markets refers to consent, it means that any entity that grows within a capitalist system grows because the entities interfacing with it have consented to its growth.
Cancer is the opposite of this. Cancer grows without the consent of the body, and therefore threatens the body. Cancer is a parasite composed of slightly twisted versions of the body's own genomic program.
The analog of cancer in economic systems is robbery. By using coercion, ie presenting a "choice" like "your wallet or I kill you" or "pay this percentage or you go to jail", coercion mimics the consent process by presenting a "choice" that's not really a choice.
So really, the cancer is government. A free market regulates itself at all levels via the freedom of choice, and therefore the consent of all involved in every economic interaction. Consent at all levels, at all moments.
Socialism, by degrading that consent to coercive "choice", mimics cancer perfectly by sucking on the resources of the economic flesh, to build its own structures against the will of those involved in that construction.
Bro, let’s stop pretending.
Muslims make up about 25% of the entire world’s population — over 2 billion people across 50+ countries.
Japanese people? About 1.4% of the world. One single country.
Shinto exists only in Japan.
So when people say “Japan should prioritize minorities and be more accommodating to Islam,” who exactly are we talking about?
The global majority is coming to one of the world’s smallest ethnic and religious groups and demanding that Japan change its culture, food, and traditions for them.
That’s not “protecting minorities.” That’s the majority trying to colonize a tiny minority.
Japan has every right to protect its own people and culture first.
If Muslims want to live under Islamic rules, they already have dozens of countries where they can do that. They don’t need to come to Japan and turn it into another one.
@benjamuniverse1@MarketPalmer_ China is in many ways more of a free market than the USA. For example someone can open a store in their apartment in China, something which American zoning laws prohibit.
@BernieSanders Now you’re talking. I would just add one thing: it should basically be non-voting shares. The ones who built these companies have proved their competence and should retain managerial control.
