Was sent this article today by a few friends, I’m currently speaking at a gulf philanthropy forum at the UAE on NammaShale and saw this only now.

I thank the @the_hindu for taking @nammashalee’s work up.

Our resolve towards uplifting govt schools in Karnataka remains firm.

I am deeply disappointed with the statement given by an unnamed senior official at the education department of Karnataka in this article. I disagree with the following statements👇

A) “Whenever issues come to our notice we address them.”

My response - We have 1,300 issues on the platform and it has been over 30 days for more than 40% of reports. Since it’s come to your notice, have you really addressed them?

B) “Praja Seva Integrated Public Grievance Redressal System (iPGRS)”

My response - First of all, understand what Nammashale is, we requested for a meeting so that your department can understand it. Currently, the competence to comprehend our initiative stands at 0. We are not solely a redressal portal, we have a mechanism to connect CSR to Govt & Promote @CMofKarnataka’s - Adpot a School initiative to Private Schools in a streamlined and systematic manner. We are even offering it for free, even then your department is reluctant to give us an “official meeting.” I’m sorry but you are not a true representation of my leader @RahulGandhi and what he stands and believes for.

C) “The Government also has a CSR Portal”

My response - As of data available on your own website you have only 1,042 visitors who have viewed this website. The UI & UX is mediocre , if you want to attract CSR donors, it can be much better, Adopt a school button is missing for Private Schools to take up. We have all this on our platform.

Overall, today Marks our 1 month anniversary since we wrote to the department and we still haven’t gotten an official meeting with them, good governance starts with the art of learning to listen. I’m sorry to say this - and I say it in personal capacity, not professional - The Education Ministry run by @Madhu_Bangarapp can be a better representation of the vision CM @DKShivakumar sir and our leader @RahulGandhi has.

@KK_Ilkal Everyone should get vaccinated. However, using this particular result as a motivation problematic. The catch is that we don't have similar numbers for a control population or even the population who did not get vaccinated. Remember, proclivity to get vaccinated is a confounder.

Dear @nimmasuresh @HRDMinistry, u need to be flexible in how schools operate. A blanket ban on online classes is harmful. U can put a limit on online class time per day or have the classes available as video. Kids started to enjoy the classes.
