Is it even possible to do a quest in Elden Ring without a guide? I gave Ranni the treasure of Nokron and it was the most anticlimactic nothingburger interaction like what do I do now?

@Ebobab2 But I have realized that when an NPC says that they are gonna leave and then disappear it is safe to say that they will be some place else where I might meet them again.

@Ebobab2 I don't think I've dropped progress just to do quests because until I went to Ranni I didn't even know that I had the treasure she was looking for and all the NPCs I've met was bc of me exploring instead of actively looking for them.

@purpleiiiphone At least in Ranni's quest there are clues that can be followed, I got nothing from Nepheli's dialogues.
