@BastardBlaze My mom played a LOT of myst and I tried to play it as a child but I guess the puzzles must have been way too hard for me and I never got past the tutorial level, bc whenever anyone talks about the plot I'm like...man that's crazy I thought it was just about hanging out.

@moonyriott Check your public library website, they might have some of the paid genealogy services for free. Sometimes you'll have to be at the library using their wifi, but for some you might be able to use it at home too. If you can't find it, go in and ask a librarian in person :)

@moonyriott @adiaestes Also you can rotate the plant every so often (maybe whenever you water) so that it grows more evenly in all directions. Unless you're into the comb over look lmao

@moonyriott @adiaestes Forgot to say. Cut just below a node (bump on the stem, usually leaves grow from there) so the cutting has a bump right at the bottom. Strip the leaves off the bottom 1 or 2 nodes (use hands to pull leaf towards base of stem to strip outside layer) before putting them in water

@moonyriott If you've got the blue kind (shiny and solid blackish, rather than yellow banded) they prefer to eat widow spiders, and are one of the only predators of them. That means they take care of about half of the most medically significant spider species in the USA :)

@moonyriott They sting spiders to paralyze them, then carry them to their mud nest. They lay eggs in the spider, then cask of amontillado the whole deal. The eggs hatch, larva eat the spider, and emerge once they're grown wasps. The adults only eat flower nectar! Yay pollinators!!
