@yallweekly Might be missing some context from Joe’s interview, but couldn’t his concept of an exploratory committee be equivalent to a gathering of mentors and friends to receive feedback on a potential run? Rather than a true campaign action?
@ForwardCarolina If you go one layer deeper it’s worse. Only one professional team in NC required state dollars - the Carolina Hurricanes. In 2026 dollars they needed ~$35M in state funds.
Bringing MLB to North Carolina through the use of $500M from the state budget is fiscal malpractice
@ForwardCarolina@murphsturph I think the worst part isn’t the dollar amount requested of taxpayers, rather it is STATE taxpayers
If Raleigh wants it make them pay for it, not the rest of us
@CLT_Suburbia This is a brilliant idea, as it is widely known that people only go from point A to point B for work. Thank you for your anonymous input!
@210m@CLTdevelopment I personally think light rail is awful for reducing current congestion, rather it is better for serving net new residents (prime example is South End and Optimist Park)
If you were in charge what would you want to see come to fruition?
@210m@CLTdevelopment So eloquent and so true! We should build billion dollar vroom vrooms that also don’t lower traffic on the roads. Thanks for the masterful insight! You’ve added a lot to this conversation
@MatthewCappucci Why does this sort of critical data gathering require people? Surely with the correct approach this could be automated and staff would only be required to restock the machine
@SenatorSawyer Your obsession with punishing Charlotte for existing is weird.
If you truly represent the values of fiscal responsibility, you’d be all over NCDOT, who has squandered project after project all across the state.
@shaunvlog_ Very disappointed in these replies! Your exact order should be:
Chicken Tender Sub
- Mayo
- Tenders tossed in Mild Buffalo
- Muenster
Pause - this is when you get it toasted
Then toppings of your choosing. I recommend lettuce, onions, banana peppers, salt, and pepper
@StayLive41@JoeBrunoWSOC9 Highly doubt it - I personally think all groups with a unified voice have strong influence in Charlotte (BPC, Regional Business Alliance, etc)
But it would be interesting when the last time was their pick didn’t make it through. I’m sure general public vote would be different
