The Jerusalem Post published an AI-generated op-ed by a fake person – and now enemies of Israel like @tparsi are citing the op-ed's ideas as if "Israeli media is brainstorming" something nefarious.

It's bad enough that the Jerusalem Post publishes AI-generated op-eds by real people, but leave that aside for now. I would like some proof that "AJ Jaff" is a real person. Has he ever published his writing in any other newspaper besides the Jerusalem Post? Can anyone vouch for him?

His bio at the bottom of the op-ed says that his X account is @aj_geo_analysis. That account has been on X for only a few months, but it has published 6,800 posts in that time period. The profile photo looks fake, and the Substack link also looks fake (three "essays" published in one day).

Search "Jerusalem Post" on X and you'll see how many accounts are joining the campaign against the Jerusalem Post. @GenFlynn called the op-ed "morally reprehensible" and said he hoped it's AI-generated and "not Israeli government policy and influence at work." @MarcusMStanley at @QuincyInst has 3,300 followers, but his tweet about the op-ed has reached 1.5 million people as of this writing. Advisor to the Iranian Foreign Ministry @RezaNasri1 used AI to generate his tweet about the op-ed; it has been seen by 200,000 people so far. There are many other examples.
