Very happy with this! I believe moving towards constrained MaxEnt is a promising direction that can open up what we can do with the FEP as a modelling tool... Also, holy **** I'm in great company :D
Controversial opinion: AI doesn’t work anywhere near as well in most practical applications as people have promised it does, and so research activity is shifting to applications like joke interpretation and art where the assessment of performance is more subjective.
There are two kinds of AI researchers, those who care deeply about how natural intelligence works, and those who think that they don’t need to, so long as they have enough data and compute.
