Big thank you @journoresources for giving me the chance to be a conference reporter at #SPANC23 last month!
I had the unique opportunity to interview four keynote speakers at the event to talk all things journalism - you can read my first interview with @justthemedicine here:
Delighted to finally publish our first pieces from this year's @SPAJournalism conference #SPANC23!
Every year we offer paid work to student journos to chat with the amazing speakers. First up, @wmohamed02 chats to @justthemedicine.

Really proud to have received three (!) nominations at this year's @SPAJournalism awards! Big thanks to @PalatinateUK for their support over the past year and can't wait for the conference in Glasgow next month #SPANC23
Data from a Freedom of Information request shows the percentage of students who got either a 1st, 2:1. 2;2 and 3rd grade for all modules in the 2021-22 academic year. https://t.co/9TzYezYcm7
Palatinate has put together a table with the proportion of Firsts and 2:1s in every single module in 2022, 2020, 2019 and 2018. https://t.co/8z2S6eQcde
Really glad to see myself get a byline in today's @Telegraph after pitching coverage of Durham Uni's housing crisis. Huge credit to @DanielHodgson03@emilydoughty16 for all their hard work covering the crisis for @PalatinateUK as well; thrilled this has got national attention!
The University offers its meeting rooms and some college bedrooms for hire which allows them to make additional revenue over the holidays, although pandemic restrictions severely dampened revenues over the past two years. https://t.co/vJQYy7LIUh
Thank you to everyone at @DUCUPGR who reached out to me for this investigation - it is by far the most important piece I've written for @PalatinateUK, revealing a deep problem with the way Durham treats it's PGRs.
(Once youve read it, do watch the @PalTVUK video on this as well!)
A Palatinate investigation has found that Postgraduate Researchers who take on teaching roles at the University have experienced problems with their working conditions, including the use of casual contracts, unpaid work and administrative issues. https://t.co/9acyVVoeu7
Durham Students' Union says that they have "pushed the University to act on this issue and recognise the gravity of the situation". https://t.co/05plrKN4yx
Palatinate analyses the data showing the different likelihoods in receiving an offer from Durham University, as well as the divides in the college preferences between state and privately educated students. https://t.co/8KrALelXcG
A massive thanks to @josephharker for running the scheme and being a great contact during my time in the office, and to all the editors who I worked with for their advice and support :) (3/3)
To round off my internship with @guardian, I had a brilliant opportunity to sit on the foreign desk, on the invite of my mentor for the scheme @DevikaBhat.
During the day I was tasked with writing an article on the recent attacks in Kabul, featured in today's paper (1/3)
This marks the end of my incredible three weeks on @guardian's Positive Action scheme. Across all the desks I worked with, I learnt a great deal about the world of journalism and was very grateful to be given the chance to work on many articles during a historic month (2/3)
