I’ve been thinking a lot about the extraordinary outbursts of the President of the United States against female journalists... well, actually against journalists in general and journalism. But it feels like he saves his most childlike behavior and irrational language for female reporters, calling them all kinds of names that kids in kindergarten are given times out for. It’s stunning to me to witness such behavior from any leader, any CEO, any person of influence or importance. I’ve never witnessed someone like this raging, this weekend with @meetthepress host @kwelkernbc, just last week in the Oval Office with @cnn’s @kaitlancollins, calling women stupid or piggy, telling them to “smile”, calling them darling, demeaning their credibility. Every good man should denounce this behavior. Every person should be able to stand up for their colleagues and say “No more.”
Imagine this man screaming like this at your daughter, your wife, your sister, your mother... would you stand for it? No, you wouldn’t! And neither should any of us. It’s unacceptable and undignified. Period. End of story.
@SqSehrish Twas the night before Christmas when my twin and I each received a ball of twine. After twilight I was twitching to post on Twitter about twelve or twenty nights of twerking
In the inaugural episode of ‘This Was SportsCenter’, Dan Patrick joined the show and told the story of the role he had in the origin of the “This Is SportsCenter” series of commercials… and reveals to us which of his MANY appearances in these commercials was his favorite:
I teach high school auto shop and I love my students but sometimes they drive me crazy, like today for example. I handed a student a battery and told him to go put it in a car outside so we can bring it in. He comes back in and I ask him where is the car and he said it’s still outside. So I asked him to drive it in. He goes outside, comes back in.and says the car won’t start. I opened the hood of the car and the new battery is not in there so I asked where is the battery to which this student exclaimed “on the front seat”. In disbelief I asked why is it there and not under the hood where it belongs. He said you didn’t tell me to put it under the hood, you said put it in the car. Oh Brother, I have no words sometimes.
Obviously the only credible @cologop candidate for governor is @KirkmeyerforGov but I'd like to talk about the other two for a minute:
@victormarx is unqualified, has no idea about policy or politics or process, may well be a grifter or fraudster (though none of that is yet proven), and is manifestly unelectable and deservedly so.
But I'd vote for him over @ScottBottomsCO any day if those were my only two choices. Bottoms is one of the most malignant liars and conspiracy theorists I've ever seen, worse than Trump. And not only does he count one of Colorado's most prominent anti-Semites, Joe Oltmann, among his close friends, but he said he'd likely give Oltmann a job in a Bottoms administration "as long as he wouldn't be near Jewish people." (That might not be the exact wording but it is the exact meaning.)
I don't use the word "evil" lightly, but Scott Bottoms is evil.
I don't tend to be judgmental when people make different political choices than I do, but anybody who still supports Scott Bottoms after yesterday's debate should be ashamed of himself or herself. And if you do, don't bother explaining it to me because I don't have enough respect for your opinion to waste my time reading it.
