Denying citizenship to infants born in the U.S. of immigrant parents is a brazen attempt to overturn the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. It is being challenged in court by 22 states. The 14th Amendment is clear -- every person born on U.S. soil has the right to full citizenship and to live life freely in the country where they were born. After marching in the cold educators and community members spoke in the public comment section for that purpose. The cut was voted through. We will continue to fight with public educators, all staff, and students!
