As medical interns, we have written many letters requesting a meeting with you. None of them ever reached you.

For 10 years under Hon. @JaneRuth_Aceng at the Ministry of Health, the welfare of medical interns was neglected — delayed deployments, unpaid/delayed allowances, and policies that treat us as cheap labour while we keep public hospitals running.

She effectively shielded these issues from your direct attention.
We are now appealing to you publicly:
Intervene. Meet us. Restore fair and dignified facilitation for all interns. The health system cannot continue like this.

Ugandans who support medical interns, please amplify this so it reaches the President.

If this true then is is not administration, it is coercion.
A notice telling newly posted interns: report by 06 Aug or GMH will not receive you.

Interns are not criminals on the run.
They are young doctors who have already given years of their lives and are still waiting for clarity, fairness and dignity.

Interns must be listened to and not bullied into silence through threats.

Last time the Minister made an impromptu visit to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital, he found only interns on the ground because interns were still there.

That cohort has since completed. The new one has refused to report until they are assured of their facilitation.
This time, the Minister found only medical students.

This is the clearest evidence yet of how heavily the system leans on interns to close the human resource gap.
Pay all medical interns.

In a few days, these young doctors are expected to report to hospitals across the country and dedicate the next year of their lives to caring for the sick.

They will miss meals.
They will miss sleep.
They will work through nights,miss functions,work weekends& public holidays.
They will hold the hands of mothers in labor, comfort grieving families, and fight to save lives in overcrowded wards.

Yet before they can even begin, they are forced onto the streets to fight for a promise that was already made by the president of paying interns their allowances.

This is not just a protest.

It is the cry of a generation of doctors asking to be treated with the same dignity they are expected to give every patient they serve.

A nation that asks its doctors to sacrifice everything should not ask them to start their journey with broken promises.

The white coats on our streets today are not a sign of rebellion.

They are a sign of disappointment.

Lets not forget,Their fellows who did arts completed school longtime, but they chose to sacrifice, and follow their dreams ,what is ministry of health trying to tell the incoming generations of sciences
