As a lifelong North Carolinian and recent UNC chapel hill grad who paid over $50k in taxes last year from sports betting - the incompetence from our gov leaders on this topic is infuriating.

If the taxes were more reasonable I would be able to donate higher %s of my income to local nonprofits which would have 10x the impact these tax dollars do. Thank you for your reporting on this @murphsturph @fairplaygov
