Not only did Quadrature Capital, the tax-haven-based hedge fund, donate £4 million to Labour, but its co-founder and strategic adviser Danny Luhde-Thompson also made separate “personal” donations to Labour candidates across the country.
£10,000 to Perran Moon, £10,000 to Sarah Coombes, £10,000 to Kanishka Narayan, £10,000 to Melanie Onn, £15,000 to Laura Kyrke-Smith, plus thousands more to Gregor Poynton, Martin McCluskey, Melanie Ward and Jake Richards.
And now Labour has suddenly discovered that enormous political donations might be a problem because Reform has received one.
You couldn’t make the hypocrisy up.
Angela Rayner is saying Reform must "follow the rules" regarding these record donations.
She is not arguing that we have broken any rules.
She is arguing that we *will* have broken rules her party intends to create and apply retroactively to confiscate donations that were lawful when received.
This is unprecedented.
Literally changing the rules after the fact to punish a political opponent.
How can anyone operate on these terms?
It would be fatal to the very concept of the rule of law.
If Burnham does this, he will be responsible for collapsing the legitimacy of democratic government in Britain.
If groups of Englishmen made their way to the coast and tried to physically repel the invading forces, they would be arrested by the British police / government and prosecuted by the King.
I mention this just to draw a distinction between the usual actions of sovereign governments when their country is invaded.
This is useful when working out precisely who the enemy, the traitor etc is, and which side to choose when the civil war inevitably starts.
Has anyone else notice that when Labour wants to deploy ‘the full force of the law’ it always seems to be against white working class people with legitimate concerns?
Prince William has warned that ‘inch-by-inch' action is not enough to stop climate change. But hey, his regular private helicopter 🚁 trips are absolutely fine.
The British state genuinely thinks it has a duty to the world.
They see British taxpayers as nothing more than willing charity donating cattle.
That's why we're paying for Angola's 'key infrastructure' whilst much of our own is from the Victorian era.
No idea why I'm typing this.
Today, I felt impending doom all day.
I feel proper flat. I think today, I realised we don't vote our way out of this.
I believe in Restore, but i don't believe in the general population will get on board.
I cant sleep, feel anxious as fuck
😔
We now in the UK live in a time whereby the Police are not protecting the public - they are now used as a gestapo by the @UKLabour party and specifically @ShabanaMahmood to inflict their will, regardless of the laws.
Balaclavas have been OK for decades, Antifa and BLM rioters defacing statues are ignored - as soon as patriots fear immigrants invading and protest, all of a sudden it’s a problem.
We ALL need to wake up very quickly.
Western society is currently divided between people who know this is a man and are prepared to say so and those who know this is a man but lie out of obedience to an ideology. There is no third option. Literally nobody on earth thinks "Roxanne Tickle" is actually a woman.
No, you filthy vampire. All that money had ALREADY BEEN TAXED. Absolutely sick of these communist MPs treating me like a slave to be squeezed for resources to give to layabout foreigners.
In recent weeks, Trump has said he would not help Britain defend the Falklands, suggested that British sovereignty over the islands is under review, and is now pursuing unprecedented arms sales to Argentina.
Some “special relationship” that is.
It is increasingly clear that Britain can no longer assume American support, and our entire security apparatus will have to adjust accordingly.
It is a tragedy. Anglo-Saxon nations should stand by one another before anyone else.
@PiddingtonRoars What's that saying again?...
Oh yeah, "you reap what you sow"
Closely followed by, "be careful what you wish for"
Like all other dumb lefties you're quite happy to welcome asylum seekers, as long as its not on your own doorstep
@PiddingtonRoars Ground zero? Fuck off you wanker!
Ground zero is the working class communities that have had these men dumped on them for years.
You’re only just getting a taste of what we have been getting for DECADES you disingenuous twat!
Trump has said that a unified Ireland would be a ‘fantastic thing’, and he would ‘love’ to see it.
I want to be really clear in Restore Britain’s response.
The American President is talking about breaking up our country.
This is unacceptable, this is insulting.
I like Trump, I've backed Trump.
But he should not be aiming to permanently damage our country to get back at the current malign Labour Government.
Whether it's a unified Ireland, or failing to support us properly on the Falkland Islands.
Do not irreversibly damage our relationship because of this Labour Government.
It's not on.
