Only happens in the three group games possibly. Once the group stage ends its single game elimination starting with 32 teams 16 8 4 2 1. Sort of like the ncaa tournament.

If a game is tied in the elimination rounds you go to a half hour extra time. If still tied it goes to penalty kicks which is really exciting or nerve wracking.
