@profgalloway so the banks that kept buying MBS which heavily contributed to the insane housing market price hikes and furthering the average persons dream to own shelter and future shelter or investment for their kids need a "sort of bailout"
@profgalloway weird.. its as if the hardcore neverending narratives that the world is ending in 10 years had some effect on how people view their futures. history repeating itself. read old news paper headlines from 50 years ago and you can see the same fear being recycled over and over.
@IllinoisRefugee@JRobFromMN@ScottAdamsSays i don't think anyone on here understands that he is trolling and does not regret getting the vaccine. his responses get snarkier and more sarcastic as this goes on. its one big troll. his bio line sets up the entire idea. "coping and clotting" hes trolling.
@profgalloway real gdp doesnt mean catching back up from what was lost during lockdowns and attack on small business. do u not shop? 2% ? i'm guessing ur talking about milk and not inflation. "gas was 2.50 now its 4.50 but it was 5$ so we r doing pretty good" flawed logic. talk to actual ppl.
@DaveNewman64@morganhousel yes protecting their assets via an authenticated security protocol in a world of chaos and fakes. if you understand the concept of gold as an asset its not hard to understand bitcoin a a digital asset that serves a similar purpose. most dont buy gold to make jewelry.
@SpacelabMusic@AnonBasket@LayahHeilpern read history. yes eventually there are new currencies. look at the euro, its not that old. the other currencies died as result of euro introduction. but u still clearly do not understand the concept of inflation diminishing i.e. crashing the value of currency.
@SpacelabMusic@LayahHeilpern you dont understand money. higher numbers is value crashing. its the opposite of what you think it is. do you not understand the concept of spending power? more dollars for less goods means diminishing spending power which means value of said currency is crashing.
@SpacelabMusic@LayahHeilpern have to look at its relation to everything else. wage growth has stagnated yet prices go up. more dollars needed to buy fewer goods = more work/time/energy to get less goods/services. a house costs more but its the same house it was before. what changed? dollar value plummeting.
@ScottAdamsSays or just the reality of it all. no one is subscribing to cable. older people who still have cable usually skew conservative arent watching cnn. media has changed, these metrics are just showing that. demographics play larger part than "playing down the middle"
@LarryKazamias@davidemccune@ScottAdamsSays dude... its not an awakening.. its one big massive troll. can you not see the snark and sarcasm. hes trying to prove a point that people will believe anything when clearly he's taking the piss in front of you. hes way too self obsessed to admit hes wrong about anything.
@profgalloway@georgehahn professors did their part influencing students about how life was ending in a decade, spitting kids out of college thinking the collapsing world should change to be a petri dish in their own image. they want the world to serve them and their ideology. no room for kids in that.
@OfficerKD637_49@flrdgenius@unusual_whales its utility is its security protocol. its authenticity in a world filled with fakes is its value. its absolute authenticity. thats worth a lot in reality. u buy 1000 oz of gold and have to pay to hold it in facility, 2 years in its tested and only gold plated, risks liability etc
@vixath@NipseyHoussle this will be par for the course. when you treat homes like stocks you sell homes like stocks. for most people that means buy high and sell low. emotions take over and people just want pain to stop. we will see a lot more of this as this marches on. people think it wont be them.
@bitcoinarchive try going into any bank and taking out anything over a few thousand dollars. as of march 2020 they dont even need to have a percentage of your deposit for lending anymore. fractional reserve 0%
@GLOEstick@unusual_whales people have used real estate like stocks. they look at their zestimate weekly. in a speculative environment emotions take over. buy like stocks people sell them like stocks. already hearing lots of friends wanting to sell at a loss to get their down payment back in their accounts
@GLOEstick@unusual_whales you're not seeing how they are correlated to assets. you dont have 50-90% drops in assets in every other market and the housing market just stays the same. it lags compared to easy liquidity assets. you also dont get 50-100% increases in housing prices in 3-4 years. not normal.
@JDKarlo @CedricBts@Pauljamesgallo@unusual_whales they don't need to be reported, the irs will have access and can easily audit though. "no need to report it but it doesnt mean we wont flag it"which is basically the same problem as having to report it anyways. lots of grey area to play with in this low of a transaction threshold
@flrdgenius@unusual_whales every single thing has the intrinsic value of zero and the market ascribes a value to it. its how any market works. bitcoin is no different than anything else that exists. your personal preference is a form of the market. if everyone thought like u it would be zero, but its not.
