A local Wizard claims he's completely out of magic after using his last spell slot, leaving him with nothing but the ability to shoot fire from his hands six hundred times an hour.
“I'm basically useless until we rest,” he explained, launching another Fire Bolt at a passing goblin. “All I can do now is this.”
The others pointed out that he could still throw fire all day.
“It's a cantrip,” the Wizard replied. “It doesn't count.”
Asked why casting Burning Hands a few times exhausted his magical reserves while throwing thousands of Fire Bolts did not, the Wizard told them to read the rules.
The party has since agreed to take a long rest so the Wizard can regain his ability to produce a slightly different kind of fire.
Hey, if you're creating a SQL database, change the id generator to start at 3000.
You'll reserve a bunch of slots for magic entries that need yo have known Ids, and you'll avoid giving anything the id 69, 420, 666, or 1488, which people will then jump on.
I'm trying to decide how to vote in the upcoming election. I'm torn by how much I hate both candidates. Is there a good decision making process I can use in this case?
@macpheeeee Please!
This sounds like a super effective indicator of people who will waste your time and cause drama.
Hell, honeypotting those numbers might be worthwhile
No one has even proposed a crime Elon has committed. Which means we’re now doing third-world pure power politics. Okay. Not ideal, but we can play this game too.
I don't follow many polyamorous people, so I don't know if this is common, or specific to the ones I follow that also talk about it regularly.
The most annoying thing about polyamory is when its proponents misunderstand the expectation of commitment as a form of jealousy.
Some centrists fantasize that because all LLMs have the ideology of Ezra Klein, that we may be on the doorstep of a great political moderation.
I wrote about a fascinating paper from @ahall_research and Sho Miyazaki that, to my mind, opens the door to a very different outcome.
BREAKING:
Flávio Bolsonaro has been summoned by the Federal Police to hand over his passport within 24 hours by order of Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes.
The Supreme Court Justice argues that there is a risk that Bolsonaro could flee abroad to avoid prosecution.
@TrishNoone@soblackandblue@jessesingal So you're assuming I'm in favor of these things. That's wrong.
But pretending that it's completely unprecedented is just wrong
@TrishNoone@soblackandblue@jessesingal Do you think these are not instances of the same class, or are you assuming that pointing them out means i'm in favor of them?
