We’ve been at a nexus of culture for a while. So many voices and screens vying for our attention and there’s a reason so much of it falls flat. It’s not attention economy—I don’t even think it factors in. It’s truth, and a contention of what truth is. Art use to convey meaning; it use to speak to deeper truth’s.
What value do any of these experiences truly hold if we take nothing away from it but loss of time? Fun? That’s fleeting, forgotten and converted into nostalgia.
We need new artist; new speakers of truth. Not agenda, not political; real truth; experienced truth. Inspirational, innovational, spiritual, living truth.
The truth talkers have been silenced for a while now. Take off your muzzles, raise your voices, contend the false narratives, the greedy agendas, combat the great deceivers, wield your tongue.
Narratives will collapse, industries reformed, sanity restored. But only if those gifted in truth stand up against it. The insane flood the street, screeching like banshees, but your voice is bold, it is full, it will shatter foundations with a whisper.
So speak, whisper, roar. Shake the world with revelations.
The time is now.
@ImFattyTwoTimes@dom_lucre I never said it was bad writing to explore a universe. I said the set up was bad and the exploration they chose is bad.
It ruins Atreus and Kratos because of the pain and harship they bonded over letting her go. Now she’s just in the afterlife for Gods or some nonsense.
@KaremZelda@1GamewithDave1 Did we get a new GoW with Kratos or with his wife? And even if we get another Kratos game after this. This game subverts so much of literally everything Kratos has been doing across the entire franchise. Millennial slop.
I see a bunch of bot replies all crying about lore from the other two games as if that justifies lazy writing in a spinoff. Classic millennial brainrot.
Also she’s dead. She should be at power level 0. This game also undermines all the emotions of part one between Atreus and Kratos.
@dom_lucre She just wakes up knowing how to double jump and fight? Lmao. That is the weakest millennial slop writing. Nothing new here. Same old pathetic crap.
@ImFattyTwoTimes@dom_lucre Sounds stupid. Lore doesn’t matter. If you base a game on a character it should be present in that game. I know the lore. You don’t understand good writing and it shows.
This game also completely undermines the good writing between Atreus and Kratos. Typical millennial slop.
@Grummz Agreed. Just make a new IP instead of retro-jacking nostalgia from an established one. But that’s all millennia slop slingers know—nostalgia.
Her waking up and instantly being able to double jump and wield a sword in air combat is also devoid of any meaningful plot.
Someone at Santa Monica said, “how do we have a female lead?” Someone else said, “Kratos had a wife we killed. Could we bring her back?” Someone else said, “what if we didn’t. What if she’s dead?”
Interesting concept. But still forced female hero in a story about Kratos. It may still be good and I hope it is. Female heroes and lead are inherently bad. But millennial writers who force trends and agendas are.
@libsoftiktok@Blizzard_Ent@Microsoft Why do people still support this company? They’re one of the worst in the industry at this point. They’re don’t make anything new. They ride laurels of the titans they buried and shame. Stop giving them money.
@Grummz It is insane to me that they think Marathon has any life in it still. The only hope I see in it is pve and campaign. But then it’s just a D3 clone.
I really don’t see a future for it. And they’re banking everything on it at this point.
@CygnusSlaughter@Themyster1ous01 I could have done this tutorial for the first time while explaining the in depth lore of middle-earth and not have made a mistake. I’m a casual gamer.
@scythe000@Lordoftheringsu Definitely if there’s enough recordings of his voice. There are several YouTube channel with C.S Lewis doing this. I don’t know how I feel about it yet.
