In going through the 357 quotations of the OT in the NT, I never found the idea of sensus plenior (i.e. hidden meaning) to be helpful. There are about 3-5 cases where it could be in play, but in the end not conclusive. Certainly no pattern of sensus plenior.

This old Boardie needed a major facelift. But it also needed an upgrade in content. It’s one thing to show that the New Testament applies Jeremiah 29:11 to you and me; it’s another thing to prove that the book of Jeremiah does this itself. Check it out!
