@FrattonFaithful Think it's par given our squad and spending.
But the point I'd make is that recruiting for upside and shunning players with experience of the league is an error which we always end up trying to correct. So why not address it at the beginning of a season?
@FPLCrateDigger You see a player who is exciting and getting into the box on the end of chances. But someone with a spreadsheet comes along and says you need to pick the players who get hit by the ball 12 times per game. Why do we want FPL to be this?
@jeffharris_665 The question is whether these are good figures on the budget we have. As we're often left in a situation where we miss out on our targets and have to go with what's left to fill the squad. And whether we should punt less and accept less depth to address it.
@LukeEllisPUP The passing round the back when you have Marezi and Bishop to fight for long balls and wingers to press fullbacks is bullshit. We are trying to be a team we cannot be at this level yet.
Our sheer refusal or lack of budget to sign some battle-hardened championship players could finally catch up with us this time. We just looked without a plan. Really bad.
@PompeyPedro Aren't we just a low budget championship team that rarely gets their first choice, hence why we stack up a load of gambles that end up being dud signings?
@dinste1@LukeEllisPUP@DanielE64141682 I think Shein to start and Ebou to finish is good. Keeps energy levels high.
Don't see harm in Swift at #10 and putting Segs out wide either. Bringing on abu when teams tire is probably quite effective.
No harm in using the squad more now we have one.
@LukeEllisPUP The horrendous timing might be a good way to get extra cash. But doing sensible deals in the time to replace him will be challenging. I think Swift is OK but to have him as your only #10....
@Bunkybowers Great start from Abu. If he can get defenders in doubt over whether he's going to cut inside or get in behind when on the edge of the box as he did in L1, huge plus for us
@LukeEllisPUP Swift over Adams for me but good line up. Think he's our only proper orthodox #10. Marezi looked sharper v QPR but too soon to start I think.
@PompeyNev@SFA1802 Shein and Adams should be competing for the same spot, but I don't think we had many options. Longer team I'd like us to sign a DM so one of then can be more advanced rather than share two roles. Shein to start and Adams to close seems good to me.
@HancockAnalysis Think we badly need a #6 who can cover the defence and give Shein / Adams more freedom rather than the awkward balancing act we have at present. Or just play Pack to sit instead.
