A simple message with big meaning: "I am somebody." We are grateful to Rev. Jesse Jackson for helping teach generations of children to believe in themselves and in one another. Thank you for being part of our neighborhood. 💛💚
I worked in the White House. There was no greater privilege in my life than to serve in an institution where truly hallowed leaders had served their country. Each of those leaders knew that their time in the White House was limited, that they are essentially renters, not owners because they are not kings.
Demolishing a building makes you an owner, not a renter. Donald Trump does not own the White House and him demolishing wings he doesn't like is disgusting.
And the Republicans who allow this to happen are pathetic.
“In too many countries—including, sadly, right here in the United States—democracy is under siege. The polite phrase for this is ‘democratic backsliding.’ But that’s a euphemism that doesn’t meet the moment. Let’s call it what it is: it’s a power grab. The rule of law isn’t slipping; leaders are sabotaging it. Rights aren’t being neglected; they’re being stripped. And let’s be clear: no knight in shining armor is coming to save democracy. It’s on all of us to save our countries and our rights.”

This story should shock and offend all Americans. It is a violation of our shared values.
It is possible to enforce our immigration laws, without ripping away people’s basic dignity and rights.
This American Dad’s beautifully articulate takedown of what’s happening is as powerful as it is informed
“Is this greatness?’ He asks … and then answers
Q: To the best of your knowledge, is it a crime to turn off an escalator?
Ossoff: I’m sure all the folks in Georgia who are losing access to labor and delivery services, or to an ICU because of these Medicaid cuts, or whose groceries have gone up 8% in a year, will be relieved that the president is investigating escalator failures in New York City.
The special will catalogue over 100 of Trump’s lies and falsehoods, with “brief text-based fact-checks, offering viewers the truth behind the tweets, speeches and soundbites.”

The Governor of Texas is threatening to remove democratically elected officials from office because they have refused to rig an election for Donald Trump.

so funny to see history repeat itself. men who wear slim fit and stretch denim—both of which were once considered strictly for women—criticizing kendrick for wearing flares bc they were on the women's aisle. in ten years, you'll be in flares clutching pearls about something else
M*A*S*H was released 55 years ago this week. Acclaimed as one of the great comedies of the 1970s, and the film that made the career of director Robert Altman, the making of story might make you think your head is coming off…

So Biden is corrupt for pardoning his own son, who has been specifically targeted for crimes that normally wouldn't make it to national spotlight, but Trump is *not* corrupt for pardoning Charles Kushner and now appointing him ambassador to France? Do I have that right?
In the long sweep of history, no President will be more reviled and hated than @realDonaldTrump. He will be seen as a criminal perversion of the office, a low, vile, and reprehensible traitor to our ideals and the Republic.
His family members will change their names or flee to live abroad. He will become a watchword for malice and incompetence, and he will be loathed by a hundred generations of American. His party will mutate and die.
His enablers will deny their roles in his rise, his supporters will be shunned, his donors will be despised. His name will be a curse. His legacy will be a cautionary tale of destruction and hate.
It’s over, and the sooner the actuarial tables catch up, the better for the world. His grave will reek of ammonia. His hideous legacy deserves nothing more.
