We are participating in the National School Feeding Baseline Survey Results Dissemination Workshop convened by @WorldVisionUg & @WFP. Nationally, 46% of primary school children eat meals prepared at school; 14% pack food from home; 7% go back home for their meals; 3% buy food from school canteen; 30% don't eat any meals while at school. Of the 30% learners who don't eat any meals while at school, majority (63%) are learners in Universal Primary Education (UPE) schools. This calls for urgent reforms in the implementation of the UPE programme since no learning can take place while learners are hungry.

World Vision Uganda highlighted that World Refugee Day is not only a celebration of resilience, but also a reminder of the strength of refugees rebuilding their lives in Uganda.
Our staff engaged in sweeping compounds, scrubbing wards, and sanitation that are vital to preventing infection. With limited sanitation staff at the facility, this collective effort was both timely and essential.
For four decades, World Vision has worked with communities across Uganda to strengthen WASH systems as a foundation for transformation.

In the new plan, World Vision Uganda aims to accelerate sanitation and hygiene via market-based solutions and the household engagement and accountability approach, ensuring communities are active participants in their own transformation.
