I am a survivor of #childsexualabuse. My father was my abuser. When I disclosed, his excuse was that I ‘looked like [my] mother’. I was 11 years old. My father’s wife, my stepmother, believed him.

#HuwEdwards defense lawyer is claiming alcohol and mental health as mitigating factors. The judge has clearly accepted them.

When will we wake up? When will society stop protecting abusers? When will it start thinking of the suffering of children FIRST, not last?
