@Fikkzz06@JohnSmithhd8@duskcleric@AlanXee Apparently you’re not shocked by what they do in North Korea, and you still don’t really care. I don’t think you can really talk?
@Fikkzz06@JohnSmithhd8@duskcleric@AlanXee Abu Ghraib involved at most a couple of hundred people who were trying to kill American troops and who were awarded substantial compensation, North Korea is believed to have tortured perhaps a hundred thousand people who could be held in detention for decades of beatings
@Fikkzz06@JohnSmithhd8@duskcleric@AlanXee Notice in my other tweet that I first thought the event was much worse than it was and how that didn’t seem to faze me either. Thats how bad North Korea is, even if the US police once killed 61 civilians on purpose, they would be better.
@Fikkzz06@JohnSmithhd8@duskcleric@AlanXee Korea had hereditary slavery until 1894. But even so in the present day it’s delusional to say a North Korean doesn’t have a much more unhappy life than an American. Have you ever been tortured before? Do you know how desirable it is not to be?
@Fikkzz06@JohnSmithhd8@duskcleric@AlanXee I didn’t read closely enough, I thought it said 61 casualties, not 61 houses burnt. So the accidental fire wasn’t really the point, there was just 11 casualties. The North Korean famine of the 1990s killed at least TEN THOUSAND more people, if not 100,000.
@Fikkzz06@JohnSmithhd8@duskcleric@AlanXee That incident of an accidental fire in the 80s is dwarfed a thousandfold by the NK’s famine deaths in the 90s. You’re freely allowed to criticise the US here on this American website, are you going to lie and say in North Korea you would be allowed to do the same?
@moultano@unconed Its a strategy regularly used by emotionally abusive psychopaths who are very good at exploiting other people’s guilt and conscientiousness’you should do this because if you don’t you’re a bad person’ all the while they would not reciprocate by doing the same good deed themselves
@tomfooleryface@davepl1968@BobGolen They do kill each other all the time, normally for food, sometimes just for fun . The horror of evolved life and the weight of its combined suffering is one of the great unspoken evils that exists in this world.
@fasc1nate Not clicking the link but I think I’d be annoyed if I paid to go to a museum and had to see an exhibit that was just some narcissistic child who provided a bit of crap so her name could appear next to it
