Thailand’s military actions constitute a clear act of armed aggression and a serious violation of the United Nations Charter. The use of force against Cambodia’s sovereignty, coupled with attacks that have affected civilians and civilian infrastructure, is unacceptable under international law and international humanitarian law. No security claim authorizes the bombing of civilian areas or the violation of another state’s territorial integrity. #Thailandcommitcrimesagainsthumnity #Thailandviolatehumanrights

Thailand has waged war and repeatedly invaded Cambodian territory, causing schools to close, students to miss out on education, and many lives to be lost.

Thailand’s caretaker Prime Minister, Anutin Charnvirakul, reiterated his rejection of the ceasefire proposed by Trump, questioning why Thailand should listen to external voices at a time when, according to Thai claims, civilians have been harmed.
“If we listen only to this person or that person, will we truly have the time to protect our sovereignty or ensure the safety of our people?”
This framing underscores a sharp contrast between Thailand’s current position and its earlier statements emphasizing commitment to peace, raising questions about consistency between rhetoric and action.

WATCH: My crew and I were filming near Cambodia-Thai border when we heard sounds of a “dropped bomb” according to a Cambodian local authority followed by sounds of engines in the sky
A vital bridge connecting Cambodia and Thailand, key for ASEAN connectivity, was destroyed by Thai F-16 airstrikes, disrupting cross-border transport and raising regional security concerns.
Students fled their classrooms after Thai forces used F-16 fighter jets to drop bombs in Srei Snam district, Siem Reap province, and Chong Kal district at depths of around 70 kilometers inside Cambodian territory.
The airstrikes occurred at approximately 10:08 am and 10:11 am today, December 15. The bombing caused panic among students, who ran from school buildings after hearing explosions.

Thai aggression against Cambodia continues for an 8th consecutive day as of December 14, according to Cambodia’s Ministry of Defense.
Cambodia is clearly outmatched militarily. The scale and depth of the strikes suggest this goes beyond claims of merely “protecting territory.” Thai military strikes have reached 60km inland. What, exactly, is that supposed to be?
International community: please pay attention. Civilians are suffering, and truth matters. Cambodia does not want war—we want peace, accountability, and protection for innocent lives.
