Dear WoT book readers - we identified an issue with the device on https://t.co/R3lk8rQ4MW - we are working on resolving it asap. Thanks for your patience.
The call for papers for #IoT2021 is now open. This has been a premium venue for #WoT research since its start 11 years ago so we invite you all to submit your papers! #WoT#IoT#Research

Great talk from 3 hands-on specialists about MQTT-SN aka #MQTT for #LowPower things to understand how it is being used today and where it is going in the near future

It's official: the @webofthings has just become a @w3c standard recommendation! Just 13 years after @vladounet @dret and I started working on it @ETH to help all #IoT things speak the same language. #interoperability#IoT#webofthings https://t.co/oNupa887Zo
The @wotbook device is back up. Most of the chapter 2 exercises should now work but we are missing the camera and LCD screen. Will add those when we get the hardware. Sorry for the inconvenience.
The @wotbook device of chapter 2 is down, we are looking into the issue and are in the process of spinning up a new one closer to us in Switzerland. Thanks for your patience.
Now available, free for ACM Members: "Building the Web of Things," by @domguinard & @vladounet. This step-by-step book teaches you how to use web protocols to connect real-world devices to the web, including the Semantic and Social Webs. https://t.co/Sajl2tAclV
With HTTP/2 being rolled out it is time to think about HTTP/3 and there is good news for the #IoT and the #WebofThings: it is based on UDP and hence more lightweight and a better fit for a number of IoT use cases. https://t.co/DK096kvfkq @webofthings
Okay, our WoT device for Chapter 2 is now fully back up and running and so is the camera, enjoy! For the records the issue was an SD card fault. As said in the book, do not use SD cards in production! :D #webofthings@wotbook@ManningBooks
We have a new device up for the chapter 2 exercises but we are missing the LCD screen and camera. We ordered the parts and will bring the full device up and running as soon as we get a grip on the hardware.
After 3 years of loyal service our https://t.co/R3lk8rQ4MW raspberry pi died over the weekend. While it will never be the same again we are working hard on replacing it with a shiny new one. Stay tuned.
Call for contributions to the second #WoT workshop organised by #W3C is still open, submit your proposal to participate and meet the @webofthings community. https://t.co/xW16oPqjyA #webofthings#iot
Very nice to see the @HiveMQ crew (which are often considered as top world experts in MQTT!) releasing an open-source version of their rock solid MQTT broker. https://t.co/ja5DpT2hbh #mustTest#IoT#MQTT
Some photographs from the new Raspberry Pi Store. Project booths allow visitors to try out different coding experiences and kits such as Scratch, Python, and home automation #RPiStore
When students or clients ask me for the best resource to learn IoT I always recommend “Building the @webofthings” by @domguinard and @vladounet. My only problem with the book is using a SBC, @Raspberry_Pi, when they should use an true embedded device like @ESP8266 or @ESP32net
