@SBakerMD Very cool, thanks. I did my own n=2 study with my dogs about a year ago. When I put fat and lean meat out separately, they go for the fat first. My cat does the same.
@lipo_fan Risk for ASCVD with one standard deviation raise of ApoB leads to a hazard ratio of 1.05. Is this a joke? And the model adjusts for smoking and hypertension, but not other determinants of metabolic syndrome (i.e., waist circumference, fasting glucose, HDL, and triglycerides)? LOL
@DrAseemMalhotra Please everyone go read the cited statements and recommendations from the The American College of Physicians in April 2026 in the Annals of Internal Medicine so you realize how absurdly inaccurate this is. @DrAseemMalhotra check sources before posting. https://t.co/LIPZDjsOam
@AtelierMissor_ Dear @AtelierMissor_ … ignore comments from the peanut gallery. You are magnificent. Please just keep doing what you’re doing. I love you and your work.
@EricTopol@Nature@gladyshev_lab Are you familiar with @davidasinclair 's work? He discusses the epigenetic model of aging in his Sept, 2019 book "Lifespan." In his words, DNA is like a "digital" signal whereas epigenetic programming is "analog." Elegant.
@markkaplan20 Yes. It's true. I was noticing today when looking at an older Grok conversation that non-HDL cholesterol also ranks higher than LDL. See here: https://t.co/qygNyROPhv
Note I never mentioned merely "aggregate insurance profits" but rather, "Insurance overhead and profit". Overhead is the larger number which you just omitted, and as Grok discussed some of what is in "physician services" is actually insurance overhead. It's a double drag: it shifts cost accounting from insurance to physicians, and second, it contributes to physician burnout. In regard to your original statement about insurance companies: "I don’t understand how anyone thinks they are driving up healthcare costs" Look at the last response from Grok. In my very humble opinion, I think it's pretty clear to see at least some big ways they're driving up health care costs as Grok discussed it. But, I have apparently failed to persuade you. Kind regards.
