‼️UPDATE
Even after @letsblinkit threatened and retaliated against workers, workers remained resolute in our strike and demands...
so yesterday Blinkit began unblocking IDs
But there are still ~50 workers whose IDs remain blocked in retaliation for these basic safety demands..
#Blinkit has blocked IDs of 150 workers for exercising their constitutional right ofvgoing on strike to demand:
-An end to mandatory work between 12-4 pm.
-Shaded waiting areas with drinking water, and fans.
-Cotton uniforms for the summer.
#WorldDayforSafetyandHealthatWork
"what is prioritised is the comfort of the employer and a cosmetic makeover of the “maid” into a twenty-first-century worker without ensuring fair, humane conditions of work and legally enforced, collective protections." 💯💯
