Less than 48 hours after the premiere of #SeeHerBeHer from @GrassrootsBB, a newly formed Women’s Professional Baseball League announced the launch of a new pro women’s baseball league in the U.S. with competition slated to start in the summer 2026.

Catchers allowed wild pitches and passed balls at a lower rate with a knee down since the start of the 2020 season.
Also, having a knee down has helped catchers gain strikes near the edge of the zone.
