@Oceansnevlisten @hugmeisterextra Absolutely! I love taking the kids, talking to them about the importance of it all, talking through party policies and emphasising they’ll need to figure out what they believe in politically on their own. Then top it off with a sausage and a nice stroll home!

@disco___cat Interesting read. I want to point out that both my kids learnt vertical addition/subtraction/multiplication in grade 5. Prior to that it was a mix of other techniques, most of which made no sense to me. I’m not against new techniques! but maybe focus on tried/tested ones first!

After taxes/expenses, Nike’s profit is about $4.50 per shoe… so I think the impact to their profit is a lot larger than you suggest… and the impact to consumer is a lot more than $2

@taipan168 Dune Part 2 is, in my opinion, the greatest sci-fi film of the 21st century. Amazing cinematography, a superb sound track, and flawless acting all come together to create a unique experience. I know it won’t win best film… but god it really makes me want to ride a sandworm

@taipan168 I’m perfectly happy with immigration levels! What I’m not happy about is how repeated govts at all levels fail to accomodate new arrivals. Not enough housing, aging transport infrastructure, lack of new projects that’ll tackle transport problems in the future, etc etc
