Anthropic called Palantir to ask if Claude was used (implying concern over kinetic/violent ops). Pentagon's threatening to end/cut the $200M Anthropic contract cuz the company holds firm on safety limits: no fully autonomous weapons (human-in-loop required) and no mass domestic surveillance. Market doesn't care. Anthropic just hit $380B valuation. Pentagon wants unrestricted "all lawful purposes" access (weapons dev, intel, battlefield). Anthropic's the holdout; OpenAI, Google, xAI reportedly more flexible.
