GUYS AN ARMY POSTED A BTS FANCAM AFTER 12 YEARS

A Namjoon thread everyone should read.

🐨: “When I recommend songs, people often say, ‘I don’t listen to Western music. I can’t understand the lyrics.’ But I listen to plenty of songs without knowing the lyrics either. I fall in love with them first, then I look up the meaning and pay closer attention. It’s about feeling the emotions. Does the language really matter?”
🐨: “And once you start loving those songs, you end up learning so much English too. I think about a third of my English comes from music. I’d constantly look up expressions and read the lyrics.”
🐨: “I believe music is a language in itself.”

This message has always been at the core of BTS. It’s been there since the very beginning, and with their decision not to submit to the Grammys, they proved they have never betrayed their beliefs about music.

People who say BTS “sold out to the West,” “only make commercial music,” or “refused the Grammys just for press attention” simply have no idea who BTS are. They never understood them in the first place.

Yes, BTS wanted recognition. Yes, they wanted that damn trophy. But not at that cost. It takes incredible courage to walk away from your dream. They did it for themselves and for the values they’ve believed in since debut.

Real strength belongs to those who stay true to their principles, even if it means giving up something they’ve wanted for years.

BTS say, “they don’t know ’bout us.”

I’m telling you: get to know them.

BTS spent years opening doors that weren’t built for them. now they have the freedom to decide which ones are worth walking through. bts are truly living legends.

"9 years ago, when we first attended AMAs, we didn't even have our own waiting room, so we fixed our makeup in the hallway. If an artist passed by, we just said, 'oh, sorry.' But last night we used the biggest room."
