@cory9917 The two main practices I've learned to deal with heart stress are cold exposure and heat exposure.
They put the body under stress so the heart can deal with higher levels.
I hope you get better soon!
@iamgiuliague This makes me want to start a membership again. I used to run a stock trading membership that didn't pan out so well, however it was the easiest money I ever made because everyone signed up for the same product.
I'm not into stock trading anymore but this is still viable 🔥
I've been vacant from you.
Grinding on X seems like a task, so I'm putting it on pause again.
People like having something to identify with, but that's not my style. I'd rather speak solid truths then take a solid stance against anyone. But, today I have something to chew on.
(Less than 1 minute read)
There's a justification behind the actions of every individual, but the consequences of that action is not so obvious.
Ex.
Being disrespectful to get your way causes more disrespect than understanding.
How many people have someone completely blown off your idea because they thought it wasn't smart?
It's easier to stick with your way than try someone else's, even if that way makes it easier on everyone involved.
What's the solution?
Suggest a way that doesn't hurt their pride but also gets your way.
Ex.
When I need my platoon to be quiet so drill sergeants don't punish us, I tell them the consequence if they continue their actions so that they are aware of what I'm trying to avoid.
Make the problem obvious and make the solution so easy that they understand why it's necessary.
Anyways, I'm gonna sign off to have some Christmas fun. Hope this helps with your holiday quarrels.
🙏
@kortexco@thedankoe@dickiebush@WrongsToWrite@themattmic - “Trust yourself.”
- “No one knows your situation like you do.”
- “Don’t take advice from anyone living a life you don’t want to live.”
These three principles gave me the courage to follow my intuition and carve my own path despite everyone around me doubting it.
how to make productivity your default mode:
1. learn to say "no"
2. make some space on your calendar
3. get quiet
4. identify what you really care about
5. rearrange your life so you're doing only that
bullying yourself to get sh!t done is not winning.
@WrongsToWrite I'm not gonna lie, I saw this tweet and used the format immediately because it was so smart.
2 people I learned more from in my year on twitter are you and Dan Koe. I appreciate you Dakota!
These 3 audiobooks made me a more peaceful man than any lessons my dad taught me:
1. The Power of Now - Eckhart Tolle
2. 12 Rules for Life - Jordan Peterson
3. The Four Agreements - Don Miguel Ruiz
Cost me less than therapy too.
@LeviNagy5 When you choose your stress it's good. When stress happens to you, it's uncontrollable.
It's the difference between taking an ice bath or falling into a hole in a frozen pond.
Your level of control affects the way you deal with it.
Stress will make you do something you didn't want to.
Stress will cloud your thoughts without telling you.
Stress is also story based and can be dissolved with the right perception.
It only takes 10 minutes a day to transmute your stress instead relief.
Every trait you build has to come from a personal justice inside you.
Discipline - wanting to control your actions
Patience - relaxing when others are upset
Endurance - staying strong against pain
If you want to build them, you have to hit the mental gym and practice daily.
@sheshn94 Self improvement getting easier the more you admit you didn't have full control over your actions. Subconscious plays a big role in assuming you're in the right because it's operation is to perform the action same as last time.
Benefits of being wrong:
1. Reveals your biases
2. Get to learn the right way
3. Opportunity to express humility
4. Builds resilience and adaptability
5. Gives you the chance to accept your imperfections
Try being wrong more often, it's more beneficial than being right.
@simohosio Too true, and obviously apparent.
So many are locked into the future mindset (as I saw in basic training) that they avoid the present moment.
They need someone to tag them out so they can step back into reality.
@Clintism It's a shallow mirror as well (for those seeking the instant gratification of 5 second videos, porn, sports, etc.) and it does nothing to push for enlightenment.
But being enlightened is so fun, I wish they had an app to show people the way XD
@Pam_Rubin1 People want to control a behavior so they rule with threats and scare tactics instead of encouragement of the proper behavior.
Sadly, in the army, being a peer leader is a long game and higher ranks can lead as they see best whether it works longterm or not.
