It's that time of year when "festive" feels more like "fatigued". This week's newsletter covers tinsel, traffic and the emotional gymnastics of pretending we're fine. https://t.co/VDPJTsZ890
Yesterday’s writing workshop ice-breaker:
“If you really knew me, you would know…”
A wall of blue Post-its revealed secrets, quiet grief and shy hopes - proof that storytelling doesn’t have to be long to be powerful.
What would your Post-it note say?

You’ve got stories.
You’ve got things to say.
And you don’t have to do it alone.
In Her Words starts next week Monday 11th August. 21 Days of daily journaling prompts and creative magic in your inbox at your own pace.
Stop waiting for the 'perfect' moment to start.
It ends or it doesn't.
That's what you say.
That's how you get through it.
The tunnel, the night, the pain, the love. It ends or it doesn't.
If the sun never comes up, you find a way to live without it.
It Ends Or It Doesn't - Caitlyn Siehl

Always have.
You just didn't notice until now.
Abundance - Amy Schmidt
Reading is only useful if you have enough experience to think critically.
Failing is only useful if you did your best to not fail.
Discussing is only useful if you are ready to change your mind.
Working hard is only useful if you are in the right direction.
"Your handwriting. The way you walk. Which China pattern you choose. It's all giving you away. Everything you do shows your hand. Everything is a self portrait. Everything is a diary. "
- Chuck Palahniuk, Diary

What was your worst rejection?
Here's mine-- When I was a young poet sending out my poems, a journal wrote "only famous poets can write in lowercase" on my rejection slips.
Thank you, next...
“Photos are great tool for writing reflection. And because most people have a camera on their smartphone, photos are easier and less expensive to take.” https://t.co/8uQfkF7748
