Tarran despised the Novalians until she learned she was one. Caught up in a feud that wants to see her kind dead, the bonds of friendship are tested when her crush shows up not to save her, but kill her. #PitMad#YA#NA#F#IRMC
@CemeteryClub @EMC2Marisa So creative, I would have never thought to use some of those pieces that way. Maybe that is a lesson for us genealogists as well to think outside the box for records.
@TiaBruhn My mom sent this 1889 book of Etiquette and I read it cover to cover and much of it still applies today. I would love to see this as part of school required reading lists
@TiaBruhn@confuzled I love the smell of old books, there are such a treasure. I like to imagine I’m reading something my ancestors might have enjoyed as well.
@SorchaEirinn @EMC2Marisa DNA can still help you get further back. I was able to determine the fathers of two individuals (one from 1815 and 1792) they had common names like John Smith, but DNA helped me to know which of the five Smiths neighbors was mine.
@DonnaMulvey4@EMC2Marisa I have Olson, Jensen, Nelson - DNA has really helped me through brick walls on common named matches. Its impossible to separate one Jens Jensen from a phone directory, but with DNA I’ve got a trail to follow. Don’t give up!
@DebbieKennett@spfhhistory I use Family Tree Maker, as it is compatible with Ancestry. One time fee with same tools, just an extra step to sync the two.
@GaryMillrat @shlomo7_ky At least they responded. Better then being ghosted. Maybe someday when they get further back in their research they will reach out again now armed with more knowledge
@ProjectKearsley Yeah, I saw this and thought, wow spending all their resources on a feature that doesn’t help with my tree, but charge for pro tools, like fact checker, that benefits everyone and the accuracy of their site. Disappointing move, but maybe some are enjoying it.
@donnasr@ancestrydna If this is true that ancestry is going to charge more for the DNA matches it will feel gross after the new fees for the pro tools. Nickel and dimeing your customers is not a great way to keep them as they benefit from our work as well.
@DebbieKennett@spfhhistory Family Tree Maker is another good option if you want these “new” ancestry features. I’d rather pay a one time fee then subscription.
@DebbieKennett@spfhhistory The limit on MH is a pity. I got completely locked out of my tree when my subscription lapped last time. Previously it just would let me add any new informatio, but now I could even view my tree or delete people to get back to 250. It felt like they are holding my tree hostage.
@iAndre513@Ancestry There is kinda a chromosome browsers now. Hoover over DNA, select Origins, scroll down on the page and you will see Chromosome Painter. This let me see the guesstimated predicted country split of my dna from my parents. I could compare it or map/paint it with other matches. Yet…
@DebbieKennett@spfhhistory It is a $9.99 add on to any subscription model. Not available if unsubscribed. These features are all included with myHertiage subscription t no additional charge.
