Happy 250th birthday, America! We got you a present. 🇺🇸
The red, white, and blue stars of this globular cluster shine like a sparkler waved on a dark night in this image from @NASAHubble, released in celebration of the United States' 250th anniversary.
Continental Congress HAS SIGNED A DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE!
The UNITED STATES are OFFICIALLY INDEPENDENT from BRITAIN.
LIBERTY BELLS ring out throughout Philadelphia; the streets ERUPT IN ECSTASY.
🚨 JUST IN: Pennsylvania Democrat Gov. Josh Shapiro DENIED creating a Great American State Fair booth in DC for PA — so Sens. John Fetterman (D) and Dave McCormick (R) did it themselves
Now Pennsylvania has a booth and it's LIVELY!
Shame on Josh Shapiro!
MCCORMICK: "It said PA wouldn't participate, the governor didn't want to use tax dollars and couldn't find ANY businesses to support it."
"So I called Sen. Fetterman and said, 'this can't stand.' Pennsylvania, the history of America runs right through Pennsylvania!"
"So Fetterman jumped on board and said, yes, we're gonna do this! And businesses came out of the woodwork!"
"They were absolutely enthusiastic about getting behind this...being a patriot is not a Republican or Democratic thing, despite our differences!"
AWESOME! 🇺🇸

America burned Japan's first gift of cherry trees. All 2,000 of them, on President Taft's direct order.
The 1910 shipment arrived in DC crawling with insects and nematodes. Agriculture inspectors condemned the lot, Taft signed off on the bonfire, and the State Department braced for a diplomatic disaster. Tokyo's mayor, Yukio Ozaki, responded by sending 3,020 more, grafted from the famous grove along the Arakawa River.
Those trees have spent a century paying the friendship back.
Four days after Pearl Harbor, vandals chopped down four of them. Park officials renamed the survivors "Oriental" cherry trees for the rest of the war to protect them from axes.
Then came the twist. By 1952 the original Arakawa grove in Tokyo, the parent stock, had nearly died from wartime neglect. Japan asked Washington for help. The Park Service shipped budwood from DC's trees back across the Pacific and restored the grove that created them. When a flood wiped out more Japanese trees in 1982, horticulturists took 800 fresh cuttings from the Tidal Basin.
These 250 new trees solve a real problem too. The Tidal Basin is sinking, and a $133 million seawall rebuild forced crews to rip out roughly 150 trees. Japan offered replacements before anyone asked, timed to America's 250th birthday.
So the genetics run in a loop. Tokyo's grove seeded Washington's. Washington's saved Tokyo's. The saplings going in this spring descend from both.
114 years of diplomacy, running on grafted branches.
🚨#BREAKING: A German soccer fan who flew to the USA but was fearful about coming because of news about criminals and people being mean...
...breaks down into TEARS, live on air saying he has FALLEN IN LOVE with America after a random man named "Bob" in Boston gave him a ride home after he was stuck at a game with no way back to his hotel
The German soccer fan's name is Sebastian, he said after meeting Bob, he extended his entire trip.
He said leaving America will hurt worse than watching Germany get knocked out of the World Cup.
"I fall in love with America. I'm sorry, it's just so emotional. Americans are not rude... if we are together, we can achieve great things."
THIS IS THE AMERICA I KNOW!!!!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Our first contribution to the rebeautification of the USA, here in Washington DC.
As Frenchmen, we are honored to serve the friendship between our two great nations.
For context on the air conditioning debate between the US and Europe...one must consult the ancient texts:
1. Anything that is in the world when you're born is normal and ordinary and is just a natural part of the way the world works.
2. Anything that's invented between when you're 15 and 35 is new and exciting and revolutionary, and you can probably get a career in it.
3. Anything invented after you're 35 is against the natural order of things.

Yesterday I posted on insta about how the only protein my son has eaten in 8mo of cancer and chemo is popcorn chicken from Romans Deli - no other will do - and they responded by saying he could have free unlimited popcorn chicken 😭 complete with a lil laminated card
The ‘dog days’ of summer get their name due to their association with the Dog Star, Sirius, found in the constellation Canis Major.
The first visible rising of Sirius occurs during the hot stretch from early July to early September.
Woof.
"How did animators do this?"
Well you see, there's this thing called money. You give it to a bunch of talented artists for a couple years so they can afford stuff like food, and in return, they will produce something called a "movie"
The best attitude towards AI is treating it like a dumbass to bounce ideas off, which nevertheless helps you think of the correct answer. Much like how House treats his team
First shrimp boots on the ground, even in Venezuela! Our local ops team is already doing assessments and scoping out volunteer housing, stay tuned! Thanks @NewsNation and @EVargasTV for the hit! 🫡💪
The most beautiful part of America is its people.
At the Great American State Fair, Americans from every background and every corner of the country come together with one thing in common: love for the nation we call home. 🇺🇸
