@OfCrimsonCloak "I'm... choosing to trust you. I'll... drink some."
He murmured softly, voice low and guarded and little grimace of distaste on his face as he twitched wounded toes. There, he'd made a decision not muddled by distrust and distaste.
@OfCrimsonCloak while of silence. So long it seemed he may not answer at all. But he was a calculating thing now. He was constantly calculating what he needed to survive, what the bare minimum he could get away with was.
@OfCrimsonCloak Láhn was quiet for a good long while once the options were laid out for him, mulling it over in his shielded mind.
"I don't know what other ailments I have... as much as I dislike the idea... it would probably be more logical for me to... drink it."
He admitted after a good

@OfCrimsonCloak "Just...don't tell anyone you did... I... I don't normally accept help... I can make my own way."
It was a weird sort of insecurity. A panic that surged at the idea of anyone finding out he'd needed help from anyone for anything. That it was a weakness that could be exploited.
@OfCrimsonCloak Láhn seemed to think about what he said for a long moment, shifting his foot in discomfort before he nodded slowly.
"If it will ease the pain... it is getting hard to ignore it."
He admitted quietly, seeming like he felt like he was being too weak, giving in too early.

The end of his cigarette bloomed red as he took a long drag from it. Ever alert jade green eyes followed the crowd of people leaving the bars from the shadows of an abandoned alleyway as he sought out a target for the evening.
his target and dark smile twisted his lips. The blade halted, the flat of the blade caught between his thumb and forefinger. The monsters would all pay, he'd end them all.

Jade eyes watched the world pass by from the shadows, a silver dagger twirling between fingers that once twirled a pen as he eagerly questioned the locals, sometimes while tripping over their language with an amateur's tongue.

@OfCrimsonCloak towel. The hesitation wasn't lack of trust this time, it was knowing that it was going to hurt. He winced slightly, the wounds, slivers, and bruise a melody of pain and discomfort he'd suffered without a word for days, weeks, maybe even months if some of the infection had a say.
@OfCrimsonCloak gave up and forgot about me. Leaving me to my fate. I guess that's why I don't understand it. The only ones that cared even minutely were the ones that wanted to keep me as pet or tool."
He sighed tiredly, but lifted his foot out of the water and set it hesitantly into the

@OfCrimsonCloak water made him want to doze off. It had been months since he'd gotten more than a couple hours of sleep at a time.
"We met once before... when I was naive and foolish... we didn't know each other much at all... so why help me now? What do you gain from bringing me here and...

@Noire_Labyrinth back, a burner phone in his pockets and the numerous illegal weapons he carried. Nothing could convince him. All the trust and softness had been consumed by the monsters that had pursued him since his overproduction had been triggered and his scent had sweetened.

The breeze was brisk, stealing away the young empath's warmth. He'd just turned 26 and the world only seemed bleaker. But then being held captive for nearly two years tended to rob one of their lease on life, their light. And Láhn's light had gone out

@Noire_Labyrinth "Chan eil thu nad neach-dàimh dhomh."
Láhn said coldly, thunder rumbling like a threat.
"I'm no fool. The offer of help always comes with a price."
He growled with great hostility and started walking away. He was a man on his own, all his worldly possessions in the bag on

@Noire_Labyrinth now? Now I'm dependent. Bit I'm not weak anymore. The boy you knew? He's dead. He died four years ago. Find someone else to pander to."
Láhn snarled, not even bothering to turned around to answer. There was not softness, no chink in his armor. He was a stone.
@Noire_Labyrinth "I refused to be chained down again. Not now, not ever. I don't need your help. I went looking for monsters, I thought I could handle what I found. Instead it found me and it took me. It ripped away everything I ever loved or cared about and made me nothing more than food and

@Noire_Labyrinth "I don't need anyone's help. Let alone a monster's. I'll spare you for your former kindness tonight. But I won't do it twice." Láhn growled sharply, lightning cracking threateningly overhead before he turned on his heel to walk away, limping in too big shoes and looking homeless.
