#HISD school scores came out today. Both #MPVA and #Neff improved by double digits to B ratings yet both of their principals were forced out in June. THEY produced results! @WestDivSuptHISD has some explaining to do and must meet with our community.
@civilagain@clhubes My son is a very picky eater. He likes sugary things but has handed me yogurt before and said he did not want to eat more bc it was too sugary. Meanwhile we have to hide sweet things from my daughter bc she has zero impulse control.

@PamKeithFL Buttigieg is one of my favorite politicians and he’d do an outstanding job. People who won’t vote for a gay man are likely already not voting for a black woman. But I think he’d be better as Sec of State for a run in 8 years, so Walz or Kelly would be my pick.

@houston_tsta Oh, hey, I’m familiar with that cafeteria. That’s my kid’s school. A) hideous and b) not at all aligned to school colors or programming. Since he fired our principal, I’d love to know who approved this eyesore.
@HoustonCVPE I don’t think they care enough to bother. It was evident from the questioning that at least three of those votes were wholly genuine in being fed up.
@defnotadino It would be sweet if it was a joint gift to the couple with family recipes. Even more so if it were a collab with the brides fam for a new family recipe book unique to the couple.
As is, it’s a stereotypical role assumption with a dash of smug “he’s mine” cling.
@notcapnamerica It was fun! I went with my mom and sis when they did it (I was deemed too young to participate) and they felt pampered and pretty and got some pics that they felt good about themselves in. There was a stunning pic of my mom, for real, and she never liked how she looked.

@GracieBrownxox@SussexHenryVIII I get what you are saying but no- short round of just in case chemo is pretty standard these days post-surgery to be certain everything was cleared. Have a good friend doing it now and her oncologist also labeled it preventative at one of the foremost cancer centers in the world.
@fuckyouiquit My husband just moved into an exemptonthly position. The last time the OT was extended the company just moved everyone at or under to biweekly/non-exempt status and I cannot go back. I’m happy but it makes me want to cry bc we need the monthly pay to stay on top of bills.
