Jordan Peterson made a profound point on Chris Williamson’s podcast.

When God dies, a lot of unexpected things die with Him, including science.

Science isn’t some purely neutral, secular tool. It rests on deeply religious assumptions: that truth exists, that it’s knowable, that pursuing it is good, and that the universe makes sense.

These aren’t scientific claims, they’re metaphysical, rooted in a religious worldview. The universities themselves grew out of monasteries.

Without that deeper foundation, science eventually stops being about truth and becomes just another tool for power, ideology, or convenience. You lose the reason to be honest when the data gets inconvenient.

Cute theory, let's play it out.

A monkey hoards a trillion bananas. The troop, enraged, beats him to death. They gather around the pile to feast at last.

But... oh wait, there is no pile.

It turns out the "bananas" were shares in a banana-launching company the dead monkey founded.

The shares were worth a trillion because he was alive to run it.

Now he is dead and the stock is worth $0.

The retarded monkeys have clubbed their way into a recession.

But it gets worse.

Half the "bananas" were tied up in a rocket that supplies bananas to monkeys on the far mountain who had no bananas at all.

Another chunk was tied up in a little satellite dish that beamed banana coordinates to the troop after a flood took out their trees.

So now they realized they beat to death the only monkey who knew how the dish worked.

So the monkeys sit there.

No bananas.
No rockets.
No coordinates to get more banananas.

Just a dead body and a powerful sense of fairness as they all now became infinitely poorer.

OH

And somewhere a smaller monkey watches the whole thing and quietly decides he will never build anything in front of these animals again.

Grub here in the duster area in Western NC, I can attest that FEMA was a non-entity during the immediate recovery. I had to wait for an hour after the second try to talk to someone for that minimum $800 check, which of course, that call couldn't be made until the power and phone systems were back online. I saw a lot of people helping a lot of people, but what I didn't see was FEMA. And the shape in the face was that after we got service back, I saw liberals online that aren't from here defending them.

I spent 10 years in progressive higher education. The faculty (and most of the students) LOVED to drone on about how uncouth and vulgar Americans were, specifically heartland conservatives. They did it constantly.

Most of them had been to Europe at least once, students for study abroad, faculty for research trips. One professor told me that Ireland was “my favorite country in the whole world.”

They loved to talk about how cultured Europeans were, how stupid and out-of-touch flyover Americans were, and made every endeavor to set themselves apart.

Well, now the Europeans are here. In the heartland. With the closed-minded-bigoted-Baptists. And they love it.

The difference is efficiency. Elon hires auditors and expects them to keep things on the up and up. If someone gets caught stealing from his company he will immediately fire the auditing firm and the thief, and then press charges. The accountability will curb the behavior of future potential auditors and thieves.

If that happens in the Government, then people like you and the rest of our representation who apparently have never balanced a checkbook, just show you a picture of a poor person and ask for more money. No accountability for the thief, no accountability for the regulators who get paid but fail to find the thief, and all of the accountability is shifted to the working class you pretend to care so much about.

And because you refuse to pass the SAVE America Act, right now we American Citizens don't even believe we have the Representation we actually voted for. So right now, we have taxation without representation, and that, historically, doesn't end.
