Questions @vancepitman is asking us to consider:
1. What are the needs of my city?
2. How has Jesus prepared your church to engage in meeting those needs?
3. Who in my city can we partner with?

"I told people I wasn't involved in Celebrate Recovery for the purpose of seeing people set free from addiction. I was involved for the purpose of seeing people come to Christ. Addiction is just a symptom of a deeper sin problem." – Ed Goodman https://t.co/IXk43xM7o0
“So many #ChurchPlanters put their identities in planting. When really, we are first disciples. The great danger for us is that we forget we are disciples first.“ – David Choi at @SendNetwork's #SNO18
"The only way the corporate Body of Christ will fulfill the mission Christ has given it is for individual Christians to have a vision for fulfilling that mission personally." – @DavidJeremiah
The mission of the local church is to make disciples. No less than this, and, more controversially, no more than this. Being salt and light in the world is what individual Christians do with this discipleship.
Society desperately needs people to act with more class. Class is taking the high road even when it could appear more attractive to stoop in that situation.
"The Christian gospel is that I am so flawed that Jesus had to die for me, yet I am so loved and valued that Jesus was glad to die for me. This leads to deep humility and deep confidence at the same time. It undermines both swaggering and sniveling." @timkellernyc#Gospel
We are so honored and grateful to be featured in this years @NAMB_SBC Annie Armstrong Easter Offering prayer guide and missionary highlight! The Lord has been so good and faithful to Neena and I and our @WALKChurch family. We are overwhelmed by the love, prayers, and support! 🙏
Too often we have reduced...
the Church to a gathering
mission to evangelism
worship to singing
the Gospel to bullet points
Christology to the cross
discipleship to information transfer
5-fold body gifts to 2-fold Shepherd/Teacher
being a Christian to a moral code

Spiritual #strongholds begin with a thought. One thought becomes a consideration. A consideration develops into an attitude, which leads then to action. Action repeated becomes a habit, and a habit establishes a "power base for the enemy," that is, a stronghold. #elisabethelliot
Disciples of Jesus should expect to be pruned. Pruning doesn’t always relate to something being wrong but rather that we are called to bear fruit. So, God will do whatever it takes to form us more in His likeness. John 15:1-17 #discipleship#Christianity
