On the London Underground, he accidentally brushed against Rakeem Miles, a UK-born man of African descent.

That was all it took. Miles reacted with sudden aggression, grabbed Winter from behind, tearing his shirt, and delivered a devastating blow to his head. Winter collapsed, suffered a catastrophic brain injury, and died in hospital two days later.
