🚨 WE WON! My office just confirmed that the Planned Parenthood official who was hired as Medical Director of the Texas Medical Board is no longer in that role.

Grateful for everyone who joined the call to end this insanity after we exposed it 10 days ago.

🚨 LONG POST: I want to start by saying I have nothing but respect for my colleague @GatesforTexas and appreciate his role in the #txlege However, I believe the people have the right to weigh in and apply pressure on their elected officials. That’s not bullying or threatening. That’s their constitutional right.

It’s clear that those who elected us want a reformer in the speaker’s chair. The choice could not be clearer. As a freshman I was punished for standing on my convictions. I was ostracized, threatened, & told that I was throwing away my career for not falling in line by pledging my loyalty to a speaker who had never even asked for my vote & refusing to vote for bad legislation.

I am fighting for a Texas House where conservatives are not punished for standing for truth & fighting for the truth. @DavidCookTexas is committed to that. I am fighting for a Texas House where freshmen are seen as equally valuable members of the #txlege because there is no such thing as a freshman constituency. @DavidCookTexas believes in that. I am fighting for a Texas House where members are valued for what they bring to the table, not their willingness to bend a knee. @DavidCookTexas believes in that!
