We announced our Series D last week. The clearest outside description of the company came from an investor who has been with us since 2020.

@kevaldesai thesis at the time was that autonomous logistics is a toothbrush use case, something ubiquitous and frequent. Six years later he explains the same thesis with the evidence in front of him on @etnshow.

There is physical AI as an idea. And then there is physical AI as a business. Keval counts three companies in the world in the second group. Gatik is one of them.

Gatik raised a $200M Series D. The more interesting number is the $600M in contracted revenue already sitting behind the round.

The autonomous trucking industry spent a decade promising coast-to-coast freight. Gatik shrank the problem to fixed middle-mile routes between distribution centers and stores, drove the same loops over and over, and only then took the driver out.

That narrow scope compounds. Gatik says it's completed 100,000+ fully driverless orders at 99%+ on-time delivery, with trucks running daily across Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, and Canada.

PepsiCo already runs Gatik trucks inside its supply chain. That deal landed in June, and deepening deployments like it is where this round goes.

There's a product lesson here for anyone building agents. Every autonomy winner I've tracked picked the smallest slice of the problem it could win, got to reliability, and let revenue fund the expansion. Uptime turned out to be the whole moat.

The next wave of autonomy gets built this same way, one narrow loop at a time, running every single day.

@PepsiCo and Gatik are bringing driverless trucks to North America at scale.

Today, we announced a multi-year partnership with @PepsiCo to deploy driverless trucks across the company’s supply chain.

Gatik is already operating over 40 driverless trucks for the food and beverage company across Texas, Arizona, and Arkansas.

This is the largest commercial driverless freight deployment to date in the United States.

Radar’s $170M Series B is interesting because it’s not another AI-in-a-browser bet.

It’s a bet that the next big AI surface is the ceiling of a store.

Physical retail still runs with less visibility than a basic ecommerce site.

The website knows what you looked at, what’s in stock, and where demand is forming.

The store can still lose a pair of socks 10 feet from the customer.

Radar’s approach is RFID + computer vision from overhead sensors.

99% inventory accuracy. Items located within 10 centimeters.

Checkout lines can start disappearing because the store finally knows what is left with you.

That’s the Physical Intelligence story I find most interesting.

Not robots walking around stores.

Stores themselves becoming measurable, searchable, and automated.

Money’s on the boring infrastructure layer.
