@GpeterTrades The "obvious win" is cope, but SpaceX can hardly refuse to launch that would trigger actual anti-competitive problems also RKLB still exists. If spaceX becomes a direct competitor to telecom providers, they can't pivot to options other than ASTS, there are none.
@belbeleggers AI says
"SpaceX is not prevented by AST SpaceMobile’s patents from offering direct satellite-to-phone service [...] There is no public evidence of AST successfully asserting its patents against SpaceX"
@bryan_johnson > Am I a madman or messiah?
You are neither. You operate in what you perceive to be your interest. While I hope you perceive correctly, such madman or messiah talk would be unhelpful from your enemies; it is doubly unhelpful from you.
@robinhanson Should a nation not be able to decide to do as the Amish, or Bhutan, and decide not to adopt such technology? Certainly, there is no guarantee that the rest of the world, or the AI, would respect that decision, but if so I'd call that pretty misaligned.
@HomerPavlos > They copied and translated the achievements of the Greeks, Persians, Indians, Egyptians, Spaniards
Let us not discount the value of the preservation of knowledge, nor describe it as a golden age.
